SITE VISIT TO SILVER VALLEY TECHNOLOGY PARK (SVTP North) WITH MALAYSIA-CHINA DIGITAL COOPERATION COUNCIL
On February 13, 2023, Perbadanan Kemajuan Negeri Perak (PKNPk) and Majuperak Holdings Berhad (MHB) held a meeting with six (6) representatives from the China-Malaysia Digital Cooperation Council delegation, which was led by Dato' Wei Chuan Beng, the council's co-chair. The delegation also consisted of Mr. Thomas Cheah, Commercial Manager, Digital Way Group; Mr. Kwan Boon Dat, Chief Executive Officer, Wei Dat Steel Wire Sdn. Bhd.; Dr. Yan Li Jin, Chairman, Silk Road Group; Mr. Tang Yang, Vice President, Silk Road Group; and, Mr. Joseph Tan Huang Kew, Managing Director, Chek Hup Group. Datuk Redza Rafiq Abdul Razak, Chief Executive of PKNPk and Executive Chairman of MHB, opened the meeting with cordial words in Mandarin that impressed the delegates. Tuan Syed Agil Syed Hashim, Group CEO of MHB, then provided an overview of the development plan of Silver Valley Technology Park 2 (SVTP2), Kanthan. A member of the delegation from the China-Malaysia Digital Cooperation Council presented on the jointly developed International Digital Economy Zone between China and Malaysia. Delegation from PKNPk and MHB included Deputy CEO PKNPk, Tuan Syed Omar Albar, Senior Technical Officer PKNPk, En. Meor Ahmad Saifuddin, Director Property Development & Infrastructure MHB, En. Azizal Shubali, Senior Manager Property Development & Infrastructure MHB, En. Ahmad Shahril. After lunch, the visiting delegates were taken to visit several sites for potential development which are: a) Hevea KB Sdn Bhd, Kawasan Perindustrian Kanthan 2 b) Cabaran Quarry Sdn. Bhd. c) Ipoh Cargo Terminal d) Gas Extension Valve NPS 8 at Jalan Chemor e) Ipoh Cargo Terminal at JKR 4895, Jln. St. John 30200 Ipoh
